okay i have been looking to getting a new ring and pinion for the 240 to enhance the acceleration on it.....is it a smart idea to get them, will it help with drifting.
im not really a top speed guy with the 240 that car is mainly used to drift and DD so ya know i doesnt have to have crazy acceleration.

How much would the upgrade be?

Final drives help with acceleration, my favorite upgrades by far are a ultra light flywheel, light one piece driveshaft and a good ring and pinion. Top speed is for the autobahn and unfortunetly we don't have so go for quickness

well i have a the fidanza 11lbs flywheel for the KA and plan on getting the 11lbs one-piece drive shaft and does anyone know if it is actually a good idea or not or just a waste of time and money.
and SMrotary i am not sure i have to figure out what my ring and pinion size is and go from there before i can actually know what it will cost me but at least i know the labor will always be free...cause i do my own work.

Bigger's gonna give your more acceleration.

Unless you do alot of daily driving and like the fuel economy, or do alot of top speed runs it's not gonna effect you a whole lot. Now you gotta ask yourself what else that 450 will do for you on that car.

well the car is literally driven EVERYDAY!!!! and gas milage doesnt matter to me unless i am traveling really far, which hardly every happens. and i dont do that many top speed runs anymore since i heard that the cops down here are not to friendly to people driving over the speed limit especially over 100MPH (which is slow by the way)
but yea i can put that 450 into something a little bit better like getting the right cams for the car and ditching the BC 262/262 cams and getting a set of PDM N/A cams which is specifically built for N/A use and some other shiz-nit.
