I thought this post was funny. Then I thought it was serious. Then I thought I would give my .02
"This is coming from a girl so pay attention!
Not all girls are bitches. Only most of them are so one you find a good one:
Explain to her that this is something you enjoy and want to share it with her. Tell her to be honest with you about it. (both women and men beat around the bush a lot)
Let her take your car out on the track. Maybe even get her a beater (or let her pick out a beater!) a N/A fc is something that is good to learn on (and it may get her interested in a rotary!) It will show her that you are interested in HER and want to do this WITH her rather than forcing her to do this with you. Make it something fun you can share (DO NOT give her a ride and scare the crap out of her. You will most likely ruin her perception of racing for life) Ride in the car with her driving, laugh out loud, smile, point things she does well. Save the constructive criticism for later (or when she asks for it) Don’t make it too serious at first. When she is not there to share the car fun let her know about it, what your doing etc.
Rather than focusing on making her “understand” your passion share it with her. She doesn’t understand your passion because she doesn’t feel it. If you play your cards right maybe one day she will.
Interest in things can develop they are not initially there. Take me and computers for example. My boyfriend is a dell technician, loves computers and I knew jack didly squat about them when we first started going out (and I could care less) Over the years he has shared computer games and tips with me. I have slowly but surely became a computer nerd. Never loose hope if you think she is the right girl!
And if she really cares about you and has tried and will never care about cars she will accept your passion as long as she comes first and car comes second. (and don’t tell her that, show her through little gestures that prove woman > car) "
